We can support you in issuing penalty and unpaid fare notices using a mobile app or handwritten forms.
Electronic notice issuing
Inspectors can issue notices using our VirtualAssistant Mobile app on an Android smartphone.
If you are using our Verification Name and Address (VNA) Support Desk Service then your inspectors call our VNA Support Desk to verify the passenger’s name and address. During the call the operator inputs all the data required for the notice directly into the system. The operator then sends the completed notice to the inspector’s smartphone. Once the inspector has checked the notice they print the passenger’s copy by sending it to a small belt-mounted thermal printer via Bluetooth.
- Increases speed and accuracy
This system reduces the time it takes to issue a notice by 15 to 20% compared to writing a notice or typing it on a handheld device. It also eliminates illegible notices.
- Saves on production, transport and processing costs
Only one copy of a notice needs to be printed, and there is no cost for transporting notices to a central processing point and manually entering them into a database.
- Minimises risks of data protection breaches
All data is securely transmitted electronically, eliminating the risk of paper notices being lost in transit and causing a breach in data protection.
- Data is immediately available in your revenue protection system
The details of the notice are immediately available in the revenue protection management system, making it possible for passengers to pay immediately.
- Increases revenue recovery
The increased accuracy of typed notices, combined with the use of our verification system has increased the recovery rates of notices for all our clients.
Inspectors can use the VirtualAssistant Mobile app to generate the notices electronically themselves if there is no data connection. The VirtualCredit card processing system can be integrated into the process, making it quick and easy for the inspector to take secure payment on the spot.
Handwritten PFN and UFNs
Issuing handwritten notices can be a more cost-effective choice if you are operating in areas with poor phone signal or issue a relatively small number of notices.
As well as design, produce and manage your paper PFN and UFN form pads, we can manually input the data from handwritten notices into our databases.
